Two Empty Teal Chairs is an original acrylic painting on a 9" x 12" canvas — an interior scene of two chairs waiting, side by side, in a room that has clearly seen good conversation. Two matching armchairs with warm gold-toned wooden frames and scrolled arms face forward, their seats and backs upholstered in vivid turquoise teal velvet with white floral-patterned cushions tucked into each corner. Between them, a small round wooden side table holds a sculptural decorative piece, and a potted green plant sits on the dark hardwood floor below. Above it all, an enormous vintage-style wall clock with a distressed brown and silver face and Roman numerals dominates the white wall — its presence anchoring the room with the weight of slow, comfortable time.
