Meadow at Dawn is an original acrylic painting on an 18" x 24" canvas — a landscape painted in the full abundance of a summer morning. In the foreground, bold blue poppies crowd and tumble across rich green foliage, their round heads painted with loose, expressive confidence — cobalt and periwinkle and powder blue, each one catching the early light differently. Beyond them, a wide golden meadow rolls upward, its warm amber and ochre grasses scattered with delicate white seed heads that catch the breeze. At the crest of the meadow, a line of dark evergreen trees — tall, pointed, silhouetted — stands against a sweep of deep blue mountains, their peaks soft with distance and morning haze.
