Her face is tilted and cropped — one vivid blue eye wide open near the top of the composition, the other barely visible below thick black lashes and a bold dark brow, as if she has just turned toward us mid-moment. Her lips are full and dark berry-red, parted in a wide, open smile, white teeth bright beneath them. Sweeping across and around her face in every direction — wild, loose, expressive — is her hair: a spectacular cascade of hot pink and deep cobalt blue, painted in broad, gestural strokes that move like wind across the entire canvas, bleeding into the dark background and consuming the composition with pure chromatic energy.
