Going with the Flow

Going with the Flow is an original acrylic painting on a 24" x 18" board — a painting of pure movement, painted as if colour itself has a direction. A woman’s figure arches to the right of the composition, her body curved and light, her face lifted, arms folded softly at her chest — a posture of release, of letting go. From her, streaming to the left in wide, sweeping ribbons that fill the entire canvas, a cascade of colour pours outward: teal and cobalt blue, hot pink and magenta, deep purple, vivid orange, warm yellow, pale aqua, and rich red — each ribbon fluid and distinct, undulating together in a single joyful current. The background is deep, matte black — an absolute void that makes every colour sing at maximum intensity. The figure is small against the scale of what she carries, and the painting understands that this is the point. Pure paint, pure flow, pure freedom.
